Staying Faithful to My Covenants Throughout My Career Staying faithful to my covenants in my career needs effort and intention. I need to be around people who have a good influence on me like mentors, colleagues, and friends who respect my values. They can help me stay focused on my purpose, even when times are challenging. I also want to serve others in my work and try to show Christlike love, making service a part of my job. It is important to keep strengthening my faith by the simple things like reading the scriptures and praying, even when I am too busy. This way, I can keep my heart focused on what really matters. By adding service, good relationships, and spiritual routines, I can make sure my career honors my covenants and helps me fulfill my purpose as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
Building a Future with Purpose and Faith This week, I have been thinking about what I really want for my future—the kind of life I want to have in the next few years, and what I want it to be like when I am older. I have been asking myself: Are my plans really what I want? Are my goals taking me to that vision? I see that it’s not only about dreaming, but also about making sure my actions every day are leading me there. I want my goals to match the person I want to become, staying true to my values and faithful to my promises. Elder Quentin L. Cook said: “ I encourage everyone, young and old, to review goals and objectives to exercise greater discipline. Our daily conduct and choices should be consistent with our goals. We need to rise above rationalizations and distractions.
